orion apocalyptic sect
There was just a short segment on the Discovery Channel which featured Larry
Schiffman. The gist of the segment was
1- the Qumran documents were written by "dooms-day" sectarians (like the
WACO group!!!!).
2- these documents are now capable of being pieced together by virtue of DNA
testing on the parchments.
What astonishes me is that Schiffman is portrayed by the narrator as
suggesting that the Qumran documents are essentially apocalyptic.
Is this Schiffman (I must have missed it if it is) or the narrator's summary?
