Lovely to hear it, Chuck. We've finally got approval for our list, 
which will be called Syria-P. You are hereby formally invited to 
participate, as we agreed earlier. Our geek will get in touch and 
send the appropriate protocolls. The list is by invitation only, and 
it will be moderated as well (there will be a *lot* of invitations 
sent out; in fact, if you could suggest a few names, I'd be 
grateful). Syria-P's brief is to discuss the history of the region in 
antiquity, plain and simple: language, archaeology, documents, texts, 
what-have-you.
