The International Symposium on the Copper Scroll invites applicants for
THE LEHMANN COPPER SCROLL LECTURESHIP
The Lectureship is generously sponsored by the Manfred and Anne Lehmann

normally resident in Israel, be able to deliver a 50 minute lecture in
English, and must speak on some aspect of the Copper Scroll (3Q15) in
light of rabbinic literature.
The Lectureship does not carry an honorarium, but the successful

and board and lodging in Manchester paid for. In addition the lecture
will be published in proceedings of the Symposium.
Applicants for the Lehmann Lectureship should submit a brief curriculum
vitae demonstrating their expertise in rabbinic literature and their
familiarity with the Dead Sea Scrolls, together with a 200-400 word
abstract of their proposed lecture, to Dr. George Brooke at the address
below by 31st December 1995. The successful candidate will be notified
