Eighth Orion International Symposium
RABBINICAL PERSPECTIVES: RABBINIC LITERATURE AND THE DEAD SEA SCROLLS
7-9 January, 2003 - Hebrew University of Jerusalem
Papers by scholars from Israel, Europe, and the United States address questions of differences and continuities
between Qumranic and rabbinic interpretation. While some of the papers examine
specific halakhic topics, others address the larger methodological issues that
are confronted when these two corpora are brought together. The inspiration for the
topic of this symposium was the recent publication of the final volumes on Jewish Law
in the Discoveries in the Judaean Desert (DJD) series.
