Re: orion-list Re: Eisenman
Dear George,
You are correct concerning Eisenman. The "scholarly" establishment does
not like to be challenged by people they regard as outsiders. These
distinguished 'scholars' may even resort to mean methods, on occasion,
to assassinate the character of a colleague, who is showing too much
originality.
As a general rule, Eisenman does not read the writings of
"Kumranologists" and this false accusation of "plagiarism" is therefore
pure non-sense.
"James, Brother of Jesus" is an original work which deserves the full
attention of all the students of the New Testament. Those who are afraid
of new historical interpretations should indeed abstain from reading the
book.
