Mark Dunn again suggested (April 1) a link between Qumran and Jericho, this
time involving Ehud Netzer's announcement of a synagoge there. If the claim
of a synagogue founded circa70 BCE in the Hasmonean palace is confirmed,
then it, presumably, would involve Alexandra Salome/Sholomzion, who,
presumably, favoured Pharisees. Qumran texts are not Pharisee texts. Such a
link, IMO, is quite unlikely.
