Perhaps it does. For instance, if the OT were composed in Greek- and then
copied, etc; so that by the time they reached Qumran there were several
recensions available and made use of by the translators there.

Possibly. In modern translations, for instance, of the New Testament, an
eclectic text is the "grundtext" (NA 26). Thus there really is no one greek
text underlying the translation of many new testament translations.

probably. I tend to doubt they held to the notion of "THE original text".
Rather, they may have been concerned simply to reproduce what they had in
Greek in order to make it available to those who read only Hebrew or Aramaic.
