Agreed... very informative. However I did note that no reference was made to
the possible correspondences of these markings to the cryptic script used in
4Q298 as well as 4Q186. Although by no means an expert on scripts, I can
see similarities (especially with the scribal marking on 1QS col. 9, 1.3).
Both texts (4Q298 and 1QS) also make reference to the/a character called the
'maskil' or teacher. Of course I am only musing out loud (i.e. grasping at
straws:))
