I have recently been prodded to think differently about 1QSa.  Instead of
viewing it as an essene document relating essene membership requirements is
it possible that it is simply something like a generic 'proselyte manual'
which would have been distributed to people who joined judaism.

(pardon me for posing the question publicly already- great Muse- but you got
my curiosity stirred).
