Please, can we agree that this is a list for specialists. I am all for a
list for people who do not know the basics, but I would not subscribe to
it. Maybe we should just have a basic bibliography that peple could browse.
That is what textbooks are for, including the ones Peter Flint and I write.
This is not snobbery. I'd be embarrassed to ask Stephen Hawking what a
planet is -wouldn't you?
