Just returned from SBL to find 175 postings waiting for me. (I subscribe to
Ioudaios, Orion and tc).
Ian Hutchesson asked about the meaning of CD, which is simple to find in
the AAR/SBL members handbook. I am annoyed because Ian is one of those who
tends to dominate discussion lists with all manner of postings; at least
six postings have arisen in response to his CD question.
Basic questions are welcome and necessary on discussion lists, but those
who need to ask them should read and listen more, and speak less.
