Re: ANE + Persia Lists
We expect to have the successors to the ANE [Ancient Near East] list up and
running very soon. As many of you know, traffic was suspended on ANE in
mid-July 1996. The successor lists will provide a variety of options, and
will allow the management to exercise much more control. Notices will be
posted to lists dealing with the ancient world when ANE is ready commence
operations. In addition, announcements will be available at:

To the best of my knowledge, PERSIA-L (always a quiet list), has not been
in operation for some time.
Information on lists relating to the ancient Near East (an other on-line
