Re: A few thoughts on MMT
>1) given the necessity for temple priests to be able to assure purity, would
it be at all strange that they separated themselves in certain ways from the
rest of the population? Hence MMT C7-8. <
2) MMT talks of the Book of Moses. Given that the pentateuch circulated aso
separate documents as seen in the dss, what would this one Book of Moses be?
The subject matter (purification) would suggest Leviticus. On the other hand,
Deuteronomy is the only one of the five calling itself "this book of the Torah"
But on general principles, if the five scrolls were still separated, would one
not expect the reference to connote the book containing subject matter
close to what MMT is saying at the point where it refers to "the Book of Moses"
