I didn't think Mister Dunn was talking to you: his posting started,
"Gentlemen...". He probably wasn't talking to me either!
I won't ask you about the possibility of a metathesis between S-X-Y and
X-S-D, though the connection between the Hasidim and the Essenes is somewhat
more interesting (especially if it indicates that the -D has arrived in the
mail and not part of he Babylonians' original message).
Just wanted to ask what evidence other than speculative linguistic and vague
cultic connections are there between what we know of the two groups (Essenes
and Hasidim)?
