This text is titled "Wiles of the Wicked Woman". My question is- is the
woman simply a personification of folly (kind of the opposite of wisdom as
Woman from Proverbs); or are the covenanters misogynistic? I realize that
certain segments of the community married- but was the single life the ideal
striven for by the most "holy" of the group?
And, does this text lend us any evidence one way or the other?
Thanks,
Jim West
